Fresh from a successful showing at New York Fashion Week, Australia's hottest design duo recently returned to Brisbane to launch their ‘rainbows for kate' collection at their flagship store in Fortitude Valley. During their whirlwind return, they found some time for a quick Q&A with ourbrisbane.com.
Q: How would you describe your latest collection, ‘rainbows for kate'?
A: A celebration of life. It's a sincerely spirited collection dedicated to life, love and everything that comes with it.
Q: What's exciting you at the moment, fashion-wise?
A: The renaissance of colour! We've seen a lot of black over the last few seasons and colour brings out a special life and energy in fashion.
Q: What do you think of the way Queensland women dress?
A: Love it... we Queenslanders have always embraced fashion and made it our very own.
Q: What do you wish they'd do more of?
A: More of the same... they're onto a good thing!
Q: What inspires you?
A: Travel, history, films, art, the family and friends who surround us, and each other... we're a lucky little pair.
