Publisher of culture magazine (a hair fashion bible). Happily living in Brisbane with her husband, two daughters, two Labrador dogs and two goldfish (won at the Ekka - is this some kind of record?) and other furry things.
What’s your favourite:
Word: Babushka – which is my nickname for my husband, Anthony as I originally thought it was Russian for ‘lover’. I have since become aware it is Russian for ‘grand mother’! It’s still his nickname.
Drink: my personal Boost Juice combination of apple, carrot, beetroot and ginger juice with a shot of wheat grass in the juice – no ice!
Fruit: definitely mango – it’s the taste of summer!
Place for a holiday: a 'surfin’ safari’ in our refurbished Kombi…aka the ‘LOVBUS’.
Website: culturemag.com.au – naturally!
Thing to eat for breakfast: anything (and everything) on offer at Sassafrass, Paddington at breakfast.
Way to spend Sunday afternoon: to me it’s very balancing and grounding to walk the beach at sunset with family and 2 water loving Labradors.
View in Brisbane: Moreton Bay from the air - the blending hues of turquoise blues and greens over the sand banks creates similar patterns to those found in open cut gem stones.
What’s your middle name – does it have special significance? I don’t have one – I am a twin and we were rationed only one name each.
Do you still have anything from your childhood? I still have my Barbie (with bendable knees!) and her complete fabulous wardrobe (including the little coat hangers) – she was a very stylish lady of the 70’s.
If you could live anywhere, where would it be? I could live anywhere, and I choose Brisbane – I love the relaxed lifestyle with the capital city conveniences (just lacking daylight saving), and its close proximity to the both rural and beach escapes. I love to travel and experience other cities and countries, but it’s always nice to come home to Brisbane.
What can’t you live without? Babushka!
